Not so long ago I saw something on tv about medical marijuana in Fort Collins, Colorado.

I think that smoking marijuana is such an incredibly stupid thing to do... but I'm always aghast at why there is such a backlash against medical marijuana. Marijuana doesn't have to be smoked- it can be taken in liquid capsule and pill form just like any other medication.

The other week, I had a major infection that had taken over most of my neck. On top of antibiotics, I was put on pain killers. For the first time in my life, I took a percocet. After about 20 minutes felt like I had downed an entire six pack of beer. I can only imagine that a marijuana pill's effect would be similar, if even that extreme at all, and it would be much less addictive. So... why is it still federally outlawed for medicinal purposes. The acute negative side effects effects will be, at worst, equally as strong as that which is already legal and the long term negative side effects are, while real, negligible compared to the long term side effects of many drugs which are already legal.
