I have no transferrable college credits and would like to start racking them up. I am considering taking CLEP tests for them, but not sure how I would study for each one. Does anyone know of websites that list recommended reading/study material for each test?
After really researching Degree Info for CLEP info, I'd next try Study Resources | CLEP for some study resource guidance. Used related textbooks could be bought at local used-bookstores or online. Also, you could check online booklists at your local community college for some commonly used texts. Don't rule out using some free open-learning online lectures for general content.
Best books- REA guides (old without CD fine- under $15 each) Best CLEP forum- instantcert forum (free, membership optional) Best practice exams- Peterson ($20 for 3) Best overview- Official website College Admissions - SAT - University & College Search Tool (free) Best supplements- Khan Academy (free) That's all you need.
Downloading the test information (which you can find here) and studying for free with Wikipedia/the internet only failed me once. DSST exams are also great.
