I have a few TESC questions. Thanks in advance for your help! I only have a few questions at this point because I've found the answers to dozens more on here already!

Here is a quick background for you. I have over 120 credits in a combination of B&M and two CLEP tests (Sociology and Natural Science). I did get an AA from COSC over a decade ago, but I never finished a BA. I have applied to both COSC and TESC. COSC replied right away. For COSC I will need to take the capstone, cornerstone and one UL course (Ethics in International Relations) to get a BA with a Political Science concentration. At TESC, it looks like I could get a BA in Humanities, Social Science or Liberal Studies by just completing the basic math requirement or in Political Science with the math requirement and an international relations class. Of course I'm waiting the 4-6 weeks for TESC to receive and process my transcripts, but I'm pretty sure I understand their requirements. Regardless of which one I go with, I'm probably going to continue on for a bachelors in business (BSBA in gen mgmt at TESC) at the same school. I'm leaning toward TESC, but haven't written COSC yet.

    Here are my TESC questions:

    1. If I go with ALEKS to get my basic math requirement for my BA, would there be anything wrong with me continuing on at ALEKS now (while I wait for TESC to process everything) and complete the higher math requirement for the BSBA, the stats and the business stats? I want to make sure it doesn't negatively affect me going after the BSBA after I get the BA.

    2. For the AAS in ESS, can all the area of study come from FEMA credits alone? I'm thinking about doing the ALEKS math and FEMAs while I wait for TESC and then get the AAS at the same time with my BA.

    3. Can all the BSBA in gen mgmt at TESC come from ALEKS, DSST, CLEP and TECEP?

    1. You can start ALEKS now, in fact, you should. The business degree requires stats and precal, ALEKS offers both. When complete, you still have to submit to ACE, so jump right in and rock out your maths.

    2. There is a thread about this on the Instantcert forum (with up to date course list), best check over there.

    3. I think business communications can be taken at Penn Foster and sent via ACE then to TESC.

Either you didn't explain it or I didn't understand it, but if you're going to seek 2 bachelor degrees at TESC, you're going to need to be VERY VERY CAREFUL about doing so. You will have to earn add'l credits AFTER the confirmation of your first degree- for that reason, don't get too ahead of your credits in your first degree; otherwise, they'll be wasted.

Thanks for the advice cookderosa! I don't have any business credits yet, so after I get my BA, I'll be working on all the BSBA requirements which will add up to more than enough credits for the 2nd degree number of additional credits.
