It all depends on which level of accreditation you require. Are you OK with DETC accreditation or do you need to have regional accreditation?
Be satisfied with what you have, but never be satisfied with what you are.

fatu - How could you even dream that I'd say such a thing?

You need to ask a better question though. Cheapest MBA from the USA? RA? DETC? Does it matter? The absolute cheapest MBA is going to come from South Africa, Malaysia or maybe India.

The cheapest regionally accredited MBAs I have found are Amberton and Wayne State.

    Wayne State: $6,750
    Amberton: $8,460
BA in Communications - Excelsior College (in progress)
Course work at Penn Foster College (3.85 GPA)
Course work at Andrew Jackson University (4.0 GPA)

The best bang for your money in my opinion is not a DETC degree but an MBA from an UK University.
The Heriot Watt MBA is very affordable because is based on examinations only.
You also have many top up MBAs like the one below that can be completed for less than 5K once you earn a diploma in management by examination like the one from ABE

    http://www.plymouth.ac.uk/courses/po...Administration

With so many options to earn a recognized MBA from a UK University for less than 10K, I don't see the reason to get one from a DETC school.

None of these options are easy but quite affordable.

    Thanks Everyone.

Actually, i am pretty comfortable with DETC too.

The problem with Malaysia is that the Open University Malaysia has ceased enrollment for International Students? IGNOU, India doest have a regional centre in Pakistan.

So what options then i am left out with ;-(

Maybe I'm missing it, but this doesn't look like a distance learning program.

Top up MBAs only require a dissertation so although not advertised as distance, they are distance in the sense that you are not required to take any course work. You might be required to attend a seminar for a week or two by some Universities but most dissertations can be done distance.

ABE graduate diplomas give access to many top up MBAs.

Association of Business Executives (ABE) - International Business Courses and Qualifications - Qualifications - Business Management - Postgraduate Diploma

The cost of this route is really cheap compared to traditional online courses from online schools.

However, these exams are by no means easy. Go this way if you are good at testing.

The UK is the best for distance education in my opinion, you can finish from a high school diploma to an MBA for less than 10K.
You can continue later with DL DBAs from many top UK schools.

I believe that a recognized UK school has a lot more use that a DETC degree but this is just a personal opinion.

The chart says graduate tuition is $456 per credit hour, which would make this program $13,680.

Not if one takes 12-hours and above (e.g., the per graduate credit tuition & required fees rate decreases: re 2012 SPRING SEMESTER FEES - GRADUATE STUDENTS)! The tuition rate would be as originally posted … $203.79 per graduate credit hour (e.g., $2445.45 divided by 12) x 30 hours … AND would still equal $6,113.70.

I've seen this stated over and over again, but ULM only offers 2 courses or 6 MBA Grad credits per term. http://www.ulm.edu/schedule/spring12/2012SpringGOLD.pdf
You can't take 12+ or even 9+ credit hours per term.
