I am looking at several online MBA programs to include in no particular order: ASU, UMASS Amherst, Northeastern, and Indiana University. I am wondering if any of the online MBA actual degrees are different from the brick and mortar degree. Does the online one say it was earned online or some other mark. The only one I found any info on was PSU, which said it was the same, but I cannot go to the school several times to complete requirements for the degree there.

    Thanks for your help.

Well, I looked at ASU and UMASS Amherst MBA's myself. I did check out the Northeastern MS in Leadership though. The enrollment advisor at ASU emailed me that the degrees are exactly the same whether you attend on campus or online. I'm thinking the other 2 would be the same but can't confirm.

On this forum, I know there's someone on this forum that is going through the Norheastern MBA and someone on this forum that graduated from UMASS Amherst. They could probably give you better info on those schools.

  3. I realize this is a few months old but wanted to reply. The online MBA from Indiana is the same as one earned B&M in Bloomington, the only possible difference being that the Kelley Direct degree is a general MBA (no specialization). This changed in 2009 when the program moved from IUPUI to IU Bloomington; I was one of the first graduates under the "new" system even though most of my transcript shows courses via IUPUI.

The courses, credit-hour requirements and even most of the professors are the same (some Bloomington, some IUPUI but all great).

What persuaded me in 2005 to apply and start the program was the flexibility, brand name and quality of instruction. The cost per credit hour has increased significantly in 7 years but the program is totally solid.

How are you liking UoI? I'm considering a program in the UoI Chicago College of Medicine.

This might be a stupid question, but is there an online school that prints a degree that even states you earned it online? The only reason I ask, is because personally, I have never heard of one that does . . . . but that's just me.
