link for practice books for GRE subjects doesn't work??

At the bottom of this page are links to free practice books for various GRE subject exams.

I cannot download any of these books. Is anybody else able to download them?

The files are on an ftp site, so you will need an ftp client to transfer them and Adobe Acrobat to read them.

 

No problem.

 

Click on the desired link with your right (as opposed to the usual left) mouse button, and choose "Save Target As..." Select the location (folder) where you want to save the file, and click on the "Save" button.

 

Well, nothing seems to be working.

If I left mouse click from IE 6.0 I get The page cannot be displayed

From Netscape 6.2 I get an hour glass that hangs forever.

I've tried a windows ftp client called ws_ftp and get nothing at all returned.

I've tried ftping directly fron the command line and get an immediate Connection closed by remote host.

I've tried right mouse clicking from the browser, save target/file as ...
and get The FTP session was terminated.

I'm running Windows Professional 2000. I'm trying to connect from Long Island, New York. I'm able to retrieve files vai ftp from other sites.

So, I've sent an e-mail to the webmaster at ets.org asaking for help.

Wouldn't you need the ftp thing if you were "uploading" documents versus downloading them? Also, if you simply go to the download link for the relevant exam that you are interested in, and downloaded it like Gus suggested, you should be able to successfully complete your download. I was able to download the Literature in English practice exam 5 minutes ago (using download accelerator, and using Gus' advice) with no problems at all.

The link on the page is an ftp link, not an http link. It just doesn't work for me, even from the command line.


I do computer programming for a living. I actually do web programming. I do this kind of stuff all the time. I write programs and pages that perform ftp uploads and downloads all the time.


I'm attempting to download the computer Science GRE subject exam. I'm thinking of trying for the BS in business degree at Excelsior and gettign the BMI (Bachelor's of Management Information).
