I hope to get some valuable input from you all.
I'm currently an RN who wants to study for my BSN via distance learning. I have done alot of research and what i've found is quite confusing. Everywhere from Jacksonville University $330/credit, to Duquesne university at over $500 a credit.
I want a degree from a reputable university.

I do have courses I have to take, I know that, so I can't go the "clep" Excelsior route.

Anyone have any input? I would sure appreciate it.

    Thank you

California State University Dominguez Hills runs one of the largest on-line RN to BSN programs around. It's accredited by the NLN. In general, programs offered by this university are very inexpensive.

You didn't say where you live. Unfortunately, I believe that CSUDH's on-line RN to BSN charges different tuition for in-state and out-of-state students. They don't make that distinction for most of their DL programs, but most of their DL programs are self-supporting and charge more than in-state on-campus students would pay. So perhaps in-state students in this nursing upgrade program are subsidized by state funds, and quite possibly the out of state tuition is still competitive.

    Check it out here:

    thank you

I've contacted that school for more information.
The credit cost for out of state is $220/credit.
    thanks for the help!

    Seeking the Elusive BSN

Before I start in here, Wendy, do you have any awareness of specific RN cert programs online...I have sought high and low for a viable program but no soap...one good program I came acrossd fpr the RN-to-BSN deal was at Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, PA...try this one as I think it will fit your needs...Excelsior is good as well but they do not take Stafford Loans so I get skeptical...let me know what you decide...imperoo
