Hey everybody, I'm on the lookout for a good PHD program in TEOSL/ESL. I found that Northcentral U has one, but after reading a few threads here on DI, I'm not sure NCU is a viable option. So I'm looking for any guidance you can offer me. Phillypoet
NCU Info I know NCU seems to bring out a lot of negative feelings in some of the members, but I wanted to post a link to the ESL Doctoral program for thoughts. Again, if anyone knows of another distance program that has this degree--or something close--please don't hesitate to post a reply. Not sure if it's exactly perfect, but Old Dominion University, a public research university in Virginia, has a distance PhD program in English.
Unisa? It is not exactly TESOL, but there is an ED.D through UNISA for pretty cheap. It is open research, so you could focus your research on TESOL. Save a ton of money. I am also searching for a low cost TESOL/ESL PHD/ED.D right now. http://www.unisa.ac.za/default.asp?Cmd=ViewContent&ContentID=26799
