I just ran across a reference to this gem. Appears to be an unwonderful unaccredited school, but it's hard to tell much of anything about it from its website.

They have some of the best millspeak apologia for being unaccredited I've run across in a while:

I particularly like the fact that they claim their "headquarters" are in Wyoming, but the listed addresses are in California, and no references whatsoever to the physical location of their alleged Wyoming domicile.

Nothing whatsoever about the curriculum, faculty, administrators, or anything else... except the price of tuition.

    Anyone have any other details?

At 3K per semester they at least could have come up with a better logo. That "eyeball in the palm" thing is pretty creepy.

I think one could set up an institution for integrative studies that was legitimate, even using a religious exemption to get started on a small scale.

    But this ain't it.

Oh, I'm about 99% certain it's not operating legally. That's why the subterfuge with having their "home office" in Wyoming.

The alarming thing is, there's a woman who is holding herself out as a therapist with, near as I can tell, her only credential being a degree from this place. At least she claims to have done a dissertation, but who knows what that actually means?

University of Integrated Learning; the scoop on this valuable organization

UIL was founded by psychologists from Sonoma state who believed the real understanding of psychology; process, in-depth exploration of personal story, shadow, behavior and beliefs, could not be taught in a strictly academic institution. Founded by the late Mel Suhd, UIL was approached a number of times by the California Board of accreditation, inviting them to become one of CA's accredited universities.

However, the very values of UIL; that the learner is the focus of the education, the curriculum must belong to their passion, rigor, and inquiry, could not happen when education was restricted to standardizing to the masses, rather than the individual.

If you are: a motivated individual, want a degree that you can obtain while still working or raising a family, have deep interests that you want to pursue, want a degree you can afford without going into vast debt, and have the passion, desire, and mindfulness to bring your skill sets and desires into your writing, you will succeed.

After looking at numerous accredited doctoral programs, I chose UIL because I knew what I wanted to study, had the discipline to follow through, did not want huge sums of debt, and wanted to find my voice through writing. I debated highly about accreditation or not. Basically, I decided that I would be able to make it in my work life, and continue to run my own training programs, private practice, present at conferences, and continue to evolve in alignment with my self, and soul.

Happy to speak with anyone interested. But don't be fooled by mis-information about this program.
