Does anyone know where I can get a MBA from an accredited school with a BS in Computer Science for Trinity College and University?
    Trinity is not accredited.

    Is it possible?

    Thanks

Trinity C&U is not only not accredited (excepting their homegrown variety), it's one of the most widely known way-less-than-wonderful non-schools. No legitimately accredited institution would look twice at a credential from TC&U.

Is there a way I can get a true accredited BS degree with my 15 years of experience as an engineer????

    THANKS!

    Hi Don

I believe there are two solutions. One you could probably get a BA or BS from the Big 3, Excelsior, Thomas Edison, or Charter Oak, with a reasonable amount of work. Secondly, you could enroll in the Heriot Watt MBA program. It is fully accredited and has an outstanding reputation but does not require a Bachelor"s for entry. It is not an easy program. If you have no business course work I would expect some pretty serious studying.

Not sure who you work for Donk. But, as far as experience.. Unless it is ACE accredited I don't think you will have much luck w/ Excelsior. You may need to go the portfolio route. TESC and COSC accept portfolios. Excelsior just accepts CREDIT from a portfolio presented to another college (eg. Charter Oak and Tom Ed).

Perhaps you can try to find a CLEP/DANTES/GRE that best fits your engineering experience. Judging by your major (computer science) I'm going to guess you are a software engineer? Then there are a million certificates that you can cash in for credit from all three assessment colleges above. I hope this helps!

A grade school dropout capable of passing the exams (at around $900 per shot x 9 exams, if memory serves) could, in theory, earn an MBA at Heriot-Watt without any other qualifications at all. Which, with a Trinity C&U "degree," is pretty much where you'd be in the academic world.

Many schools have "alternative entrance" schemes if you have the proper CV. Heriot-Watt is unique in that they provide some structure around it.

If you think you can handle it, you could definetly do much worse.

At HW you have to demonstrate ability to pursue grad studies... this can be done via a legitimate undergrad degree OR passing two HW MBA courses as an unmatriculated student.

Being unmatriculated doesn't mean much other than you cannot study on campus... as far as I know.

During the seven years I was involved with marketing for the Heriot-Watt MBA, about 40% of the students had no Bachelor's, and their performance on exams was about the same as those with Bachelor's.

And during the time I was involved with Leicester University marketing, their Master's program had a one-year pre-enrollment certificate course for people with no Bachelor's -- another way of showing them one can do the work.

I would strongly advise not making mention of your Trinity degree when you communicate with graduate schools (or, indeed, employers). It has great potential for getting users into big trouble, as, for instance, with a well-publicized legal case in Michigan last year, in which an administrator ended up in hot water for buying and using the Trinity degree.
