While the collegiate distance learning world has grown the corporate distance learning world has grown as well. This company helps you to become a better writer.

Just curious.....is this for a Freshman College Comp student, or an adult *really* looking to improve their writing skills?

I would be highly interested in this service, but unfortunately their pricing structure seems not affordable with my budget. With "Our rates are competitive, ranging from $50-$300 per hour" they narrow their target group down to quite a small number of people willing to invest that kind of money. In my opinion they should "systematize" the approach to reach a broader audience - for example offer some kind of course format for different targets (undergrad, grad, journalism) with assignments and occasional short 1-1 lessons.

I have no idea if it is true or not this is only a speculation but with pricing points such as those stated in the quoted response above it almost sounds like a "ghost writing" type of company more so than a tutoring company.

It is too expensive, but I can understand the high price because it is one on one interaction with an actual person, not an online course and, according to the website, they are highly qualified people from tier 1 schools. I wouldn't do it myself, and I doubt they will make it at those prices, but there may be a few who are willing to pay for tutoring from someone who received the Stegner Fellowship in Poetry at Stanford.
