For-Profit Colleges Manage To Dilute New Rules

It's a lobbying thing

These two quotes sum it up pretty well. It's all about money and power; those with the money have the power. Don't you love how it turned into a joke.

"the colleges spent more than $16 million on an all-star list of prominent figures, particularly Democrats with close ties to the White House, to plot strategy, mend their battered image and plead their case."

"The joke in Washington, however, was that the industry effort to defeat the plan mainly ensured “gainful employment” for the capital’s Democratic lobbyists and political consultants."

 

This is why it's time to end 100% Fed Aid. If they just dropped it to 90%, these schools would change overnight.
