I need an online Elementary Stats Class. Preferably non proctored because I can't pass it otherwise. I can't find one like that anywhere.
Description of class needs to be similar to this for transfer credit.
A basic introductory statistics course with applications shown to various fields and emphasis placed on assumptions, applicability, and interpretations of various statistical techniques. Subject matter includes frequency distributions, descriptive statistics, elementary probability, normal distribution applications, sampling distribution, estimation, hypothesis testing, linear regression.

And I also need this class online, but really don't think I can find it online let alone online no proctored exams.

SOCIOLOGY- Introduction To Methods Of Social Research II
Introduction to the methods of data collection and analysis and to the use of the scientific method of social research. Formulation of hypotheses and research designs for their testing. Elementary principles for the conduct of experiments, observation and interviewing, documentation, content analysis, and surveys. Relationship between social research and social theory

As long as it's under 750 dollars it will work for me! Please, if you have ever had experience or know, keep me updated.

Where do you plan to transfer this to? A few schools will accept Straighterline credits, which would cost you much less than $750. Also, any community college will offer a basic statistics class which would also be cheap. Maybe the best idea would be to study a stats book and then take the CLEP test for college credit.

If you can't hack statistics, you should watch all the way through the Kahn Academy videos. Kahn does a very good job at explaining all of the basics. I would think you could pass a CLEP if you went all the way through his videos. There are quite a few and it would take you a while, but that would be cheap. Khan Academy The stats videos are near the bottom of that page.

Am I the only one who blinks at this? Can't pass a proctored exam? C'mon Tim, help me understand this.

Not to worry, my degree shields me from any future math in the workforce. I'm not in a field that stats will ever be relevant. I have a 3.5 from very hard work, but not brain power. The facts of life are sometimes difficult to accept, but calling it as it is.

    Will ALEKS work for you?

Mathematics - Course Products: Statistics for the Behavioral Sciences

If not, will the stats CLEP work. If the stats CLEP works, then use ALEKS to master the material - you will be just fine.

Yes, I was interested in the proctored exam issue too. The problem with doing something with stats open-book is the fact that they are not just facts you can look up and then mark the correct question. It's something you have to understand ahead of time, most of the non-proctored tests have a time limit, so there is not time to teach yourself during the exam.

I think the best thing for you would be to go through all of the Kahn videos. Start with the first one an go through sequentially. You should not have a problem with any basic stats exam after that.

As Shawn said, ALEKS might be a good way to go too: Higher Education - Mathematics
