I was told my the local CLEP testing center I could test a maximum of three tests a day. Also told that if I failed a test I would have to wait six months to retake.

How many DANTES tests a day can one take? How long must one wait if they fail a DANTES test?

How many ECE tests a day can one take? How long must one wait if they fail a ECE test?

    Thanks,

    Christian

The number of tests that can be taken per day is set by the testing centers. My local state university only permits taking two in one day. Others on the forum have described different experiences with their local testing centers.

The information on the back of one of my Dantes score reports indicates that six months must elapse before retesting, which is the same as the CLEP policy.

I don't know about the Excelsior tests, but the information can probably be found in the credit by exam booklet on their publications page, or by contacting a nearby Prometric Technology Center, who administer the exams.
