What is the value of International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE) accreditation to distance learning business programs? and does this rate against the International Association for Management Education (AACSB)?

I hold a B.S. in Business Administration from a school that is AACSB accredited.

The school is McNeese State University in Lake Charles, LA. Don't think it has made much of a difference careerwise, as I work in government, and all they care about is one of the other accreditation authorities, such as the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

    Just my opinion.

Depending upon what you want to do, AACSB may be tremedously important. In business, I think it generally does not matter. You will be considered a degreed person, and your ather attribute will help you succeed. In other fields, such as education or consulting, the AACSB can come into play. There are some B-Schools that simply will not hire non-AACSB graduates for faculty.
Big consulting firms that recruit MBAs will look at the top schools, and although they may not realize it, they also indirectly prefer AACSB grads. If there is a choice, I would opt for the AACSB degree. I wish I had chosen that route.
