Inexpensive online accredited German course?

Hello,

I have been looking to find an online German I course to meet Gen. Ed. requirements. The SUNY system seems to only offer Spanish, French, Russian and Italian online. I really have no desire to learn any of those. I already have a basic understanding of German, as I took it in high school.

I have looked at other schools but all seem to charge alot per credit hour. one class for out of state is over $1000. Sorry, I just don't have that kind of bread for one class.

If I have to, I'll hold out till maybe SUNY offers another German course online, as they have in the past. If not, I will force myself to learn French or russian. Neither Spanish or Italian appeals to me at all.

Any help or guidance would be helpful.

Have you looked at the BYU Independent Study program ?
