From personal accounts, I hear things turned ugly FAST!!!!!!! 80%+ tuition increase starting from 2008 to present. And CSU executive/adminstrators, chancellors keep giving themselves fat raises. What do you expect?

Violence is never the answer, but I can't blame students for being mad. My daughter is thinking of transferring to a CSU school and it is getting more and more expensive. It makes me upset because I'm going to have to write the check for it all. In fact....I think I'm going to go over to CSULB and get violent!!:AR15firing: (JK)

The best way to get them to lower tuition is by not going to college. Have an entire generation boycott university in favor of trade school, independent study and making it on their own in a career by working up the ladder or starting sole proprietorships. Either the exorbitantly expensive and under-serving universities will have to shut down or find a way to make it more affordable. Unfortunately, the ceaseless mantra is that you must go to college. Heck, even I'm going for two degrees and I think the entire degree-as-validation paradigm to be a disastrously wasteful, prophetically self-fulfilling, joke. But that's just me, the one whose name is Maniac.

I am seeing the proliferation and growth of trade schools here in California. I believe people are very leary of taking on HUGE amounts of debt only to end up working at burger king, then end up with student loans. So in short, trade schools, the BIG three or other types of low cost alternatives are proliferating.

This is why some State schools scoof at DL modalities. They fear this will displace some CSU staff, and they will not even allow some private DL schools in to offer CSU staff huge discounts for attending a private online school. Oh well.
