This school seems to offer great distance education programs in security and law enforcement and at a low cost.

They do not seem to have an exam centre in Canada though. I wonder if they make proctor arrangements or allow students nowhere near an exam centre to write it at a consulate or someplace?

    Any opinions on this school?

If memory serves, there has been talk that TSA will merge with UNISA. Good school, by all accounts. If it follows UNISA's exam practice, it should be possible to take the exams at your nearest South African embassy.

    Cheers,

  3. There are some comments about TSA in this thread: Goodbye to Unisa....

TSA has offered degrees only since 1995 or thereabouts, and is primarily an undergraduate institution -- in 2000, they had 42,000 undergraduate students and 183 graduate students, compared to Unisa with 83,000 undergraduate students and 12,000 graduate students. (I believe that these numbers exclude an approximately equal number of non-degree students.)

TSA has essentially no students outside of South Africa (<1%), compared to 4.4% of Unisa students (including 373 in USA last year).
