From the Chronicle... Online Programs Face New Demands From Accreditors - Online Learning - The Chronicle of Higher Education Shawn
I find this interesting especially this comment, "Accreditors counter that they are adapting to the fast-growing world of online education by requiring colleges to prove that students learn as much in distance courses as in face-to-face classes." Does this mean I can sleep during my online classes like I did during my face-to-face classes? :aargh4:
What a poorly written article! The author eventually makes a distinction between online and for-profit, but the first paragraph in particular suggests he doesn't really get it that these two concepts are not the same. And here I was starting to think that most education journalists had finally figured this out!
