The State of Hawaii has settled the pending litigation against Frederick Taylor International University and its principal, Mr. Mansour Saki of California. FTIU was a sister-organization of Frederick Taylor University.

The settlement is documented by a Stipulated Judgment and Permanent Injunction which was filed with the First Circuit Court of the State of Hawaii on February 28, 2002.

Under the terms of the settlement, FTIU and Mr. Saki are enjoined from operation of any unaccredited degree granting insitutions in, from or under the claimed authority of Hawaii and its laws. The defendants have also agreed to offer full restitution to all FTIU graduates and students and have paid a civil penalty of $35,000.

Anyone wishing to see an unfiled electronic version of the stipulated judgment may email requests to [email protected]

    Congratulations, Jeffrey!

Another less-than-wonderful down, another handful to go. Excellent work!

    FTIU

Here is a classic example of the swiftnesss and "forward-thinking" employed by organisations such as FTIU.
By the time they had realised that their days in Hawaii were numbered - they had already done their research, had identified their next "home-base", and had commenced incorporation procedures.
    A "seamless" tranfer indeed.
This is what I call a "dynamic" & flexible organisation.

Concerning FTU in CA....I conducted a search through CA BPPVE's website. The search came back "no records found" when I searched under "Frederick Taylor University". I wonder if the BPPVE is investigating FTU?

So where does this leave FTIU? Are they still in operation?

Wait a minute. You don't know?

Maven, I thought you were completing your Ph.D. through FTIU.

Maybe unaccredited schools should come with a warning label like booze and tobacco.

In order to bring up the record you must enter the full name Frederick W Taylor University into the search field. Alternatively, you may enter Frederick or just plain Fred.

Nevermind. Obviously I can't read today! I got it now.

    The school hasn't told you?

Their website lists a California address:
    Frederick Taylor International University
    Office of Administration and Records
    346 Rheem Boulevard, Suite 203
    Moraga, CA 94556

Funny -- when I use Google, I can see a cached version of the first page that has the line "Frederick Taylor International University is incorporated under the Laws of the State of Montana in the United States of America and the British Virgin Island." But the current page doesn't include this line.

My favorite tidbits of information gleaned from this site, under the heading Additional Info:
    Term: PERP
    (As in perpetrator? ;) )

    Purpose Code: NONE STATED
    (Nothing like a school without a purpose, I always say! :D )
