My dear husband is considering pursuing a PhD in history. As he is gainfully employed full-time, and the breadwinner for the family, it will have to be part-time! Anyone know of a DL History PhD program with short--or better, no--residency?

The bottom line is that if he wants to stick to American universities, he'd better like classical civilization, because so far the closest thing available is the PhD in Classical Civilization at the University of Florida.
