    My mother received her BSN from UMass Boston (online). My opinion is that she enjoyed it... for the learning of course, but also because where she lives in the south UMass seems super prestigious for some reason. She gets to drive around with a UMass sticker on her car.

    But anyway, I am also under the opinion that she enjoyed the learning process.

    The system as a whole has a very good reputation. Individual campuses each have their own personalities and reputations. Amherst is the flagship campus and sometimes is referred to as "ZooMass" because it's pretty big (over 27,000 total students) and because it sometimes has a rep for being a party school. UMass Boston is almost exclusively a commuter school and so most of the students comes from the communities that surround Boston. I always think of the Lowell campus as being the engineering campus but in reality they do more than just that and I think of the Worcester campus as being the medical campus because it has the medical school, the nursing school and a big MPH program. I know less about the Dartmouth campus so I'll leave that for others. Which program(s) are you considering?

    The general opinion in Massachusetts is they rank top to bottom (with bottom being relative, as the whole system has a good reputation);

    1. Amherst

    2. Lowell

    3. Boston

    4. Dartmouth

    I didn't include Worcester because it's such a highly specialized campus (the medical school and health-related programs), but they have a good reputation as far as medical schools.
