I was just assigned a faculty member to work with me on my field study, so I guess that I am in at UFS Blomfontein. :wow: I will be mailed an application by the middle of November. As you may or may not recall, I could not start my dissertation directly, since I did not have a research Master's, even though I was ABD. This does not cause me pain because (a) it will help in my dissertation, and (b) I do not mind the slower pace. Since I did not know where I would be accepted when I was applying, I also applied to UNISA through IACI Canada, but I have heard nothing. Since I feel very good about UFS, I will let UNISA slide, if I ever do hear back from them. As part of my hedging the bets, I also applied to Aspen, where I am in the early stages of a very interesting political course as part of satisfying an EdD. Not being afflicted with Ohrner's Syndrome, I will let this one slip also, after I complete this class.
Two questions. 1. Do you have to go to SA for this degree? 2. Did Aspen accept any of your NCU credits?
Answer: 1. No - SKYPE will work for face to face requirements. 2. Yes. They accepted my research methods course. I had no other courses that related. They and most other schools will only take 12 credits total. BTW- NCU did not even take one NCU credit when they offered me a chance to do it all again.
