    Hello,

I am attempting to locate schools that offer Emergency Management, Safety, and Disaster Services course by distance learning. I am on a tight budget so low cost per credit hour is a consideration.

    thanks,

    Michael Gates

A lot has been said on this topic, and for background try FEMA in the search feature.

Also look at Federal Emergency Management Agency they list several course and programs that you can take for credit (of moderate transferrablility).

    FEMA

    Hello,

I have read the posts on FEMA and the trouble many have had in turning them into college credit. I have taken 23 courses from FEMA and have found the material combined to be about the content of a one three hour college course. I am looking for regular college courses to gain knowledge and not just get some fast credits.

    thanks,

    Michel Gates

  4. If you have some time to separate the wheat from the chaff, I suggest you go to TeleCampus and drill down through "Vocational Training" to "Disaster, Emergency, Fire Management." When I did this, I found 244 courses. A small fraction of these may meet your needs.
