    Hello all,

I have enrolled at TESC for November and received my academic evaluation which awarded me 45 credits towards a degree in Liberal Studies. The applied credits were from 27 Fema's, 6 credits from an Analyzing and Interpreting Literature CLEP and 12 from a Spanish CLEP. Below is my academic evaluation.
My question is, how many of the SL courses accepted by TESC can I apply to the 75 credits I need to complete my degree? Here is a link to the courses TESC currently accepts from SL:
Transfer College Credits To Thomas Edison State College (TESC) - StraighterLine
I've also forwarded this question to TESC but have yet to receive an answer. Also, I'm aware that with a little research I could probably answer my own question, however any input would be appreciated! Thank You all for your help!

I am not answering your specific question but how did you enroll? It would have been better for you to have someone do an informal evaluation of your credits, save your money, and wait until you have all of your credits then enroll at TESC to graduate. Someone on this site may help you but the "other" website is full of people in your same position and will be glad to help.

Actually, the reason i enrolled is because I'm taking pre-reqs for an RN program. Even though all of the pre-reqs I need are given through SL, both community colleges in my area are very specific in needing a letter grade for each pre-req. I'm aware that COSC awards letter grades for SL but they list the courses as transfer credit from SL. Im just not willing to take the chance and be rejected from the nursing program because of this.
In the meantime, whether nursing school comes around or not, at least I'll be working towards my BA which can open more doors at my current job.

My question is, how many of the SL courses accepted by TESC can I apply to the 75 credits I need to complete my degree? The short answer is ALL of them. None of the SL courses duplicate what you already have. Developmental courses are out since they are below 100 level. Also, business and medical courses are out since they are free electives. All general ed courses work. FWIW, this is not the cheapest option, especially for math. Here is a link to the courses TESC currently accepts from SL:

I've also forwarded this question to TESC but have yet to receive an answer. Also, I'm aware that with a little research I could probably answer my own question, however any input would be appreciated! Thank You all for your help!

This is an excellent forum, however there is another forum that is better suited to helping people through testing out at the big three. Check it out.
This one is a little more general and tends to be more helpful for graduate students and traditional undergraduate students doing DL.
