Saw some prior inquiries regarding Empresarial but never saw any replies either pro or con. Does anyone have any information or opinions on this Costa Rican university?

Check the "Search" mode carefully. From what I remember you are for the most part correct. Some of the accrediation issue was discussed. I don't think we have had anyone post who has attended. There seems to be some confusion about the accreditation IIRC.

Dr. Cannon was very quick to respond when e-mailed and provided a lot of detail about the program.

I think one of the members was going to drop in on the school or Dr. Cannon (I can't remember).

In the end I am afraid you are back where you started.

    Sorry!

Why are you intersted in them and what are you wanting to study. I say this because there may be some less expensive Australian & South African schools available to you.

    North,

    Thanks for the response.

I was looking at the Humanities PhD program at Empresarial. My MA is in Humanities and I was hoping to continue with my research into the impact of near-death (and similar) experiences on society.

    Alan,

If you are interested in foreign Ph.D.'s I would start a new thread about a Research Ph.D. in Humanities.

Several people have made numerous contacts with South African Universities and Australian Universities. Tom Head may be able to give some excellent advice (Australian Universities).

South African and Australian schools are well respected and very affordable.

    Good luck!

Looks like it has become a brick institution in Costa Rica, coupled with another institution, and it has a growing student body that attends classes daily.
