    Hi All,

Trying to get some insight into the exact make up of the classes in Aspen University's MS in Information Technology program. Responses from the admissions team while quite helpful have not gone into the detail I would like. Preferably I would love to see a syllabus for one of the CIS classes but since there is overlap between MS IT and other programs like the MS Information Management or the MBA with a Project Management focus, I assume the classes are pretty much the same in structure. In that case a syllabus from pretty much any class in any of the related programs would be great.

Would someone be willing to share syllabus or partial syllabus with me? PM me directly if I could help me get solid sense of what is required in these IT/IM related Masters degrees at Aspen.

    Thanks in advance!

Also just saw my goof --- Graduates not Gradates (verb: To pass imperceptibly from one degree, shade, or tone to another)

The class requirements for the MSIT are here:

I'm a current student in the MSIM program (one class left). I have to say that I don't recommend Aspen. I loved the program until whoever recently took over the school turned it into a corporate entity. Before this new management team, it felt like a school and the program was enjoyable. The web site, while not attractive, had pertinent links that students needed.

When the new website was launched, I received an email that said something like "Our new web site was designed to reflect our new corporate identity." That turned me off right away. I had to actually email someone at the school to obtain the ISBN of the textbook I needed for this last course I have and it took three days to get a reply. The old web site had a student services link that had the ISBNs for every course and a link to a bookstore. I don't know that the new site has finally added this information but a school that would launch a new site without appropriate links for current students is ridiculous.

    gbrogan,

Thanks for the reply. I am really seeking to find out the specifics of the individual classes such as reading requirements, frequency and length of writing assignments, any final papers/projects.

I completed my MSIT from Aspen a few years ago when they had a special tuition (about $3000) for the whole program. The program was so simple, easy and ridiculous, i dont even mention it anywhere. They gave me 9 credits for having a MCSE. I finished the whole program in 7 months. I just had to answer a few questions (most of the answers were directly from wikipedia) from each chapter and i was done. For a couple of classes, i did not purchase the textbook yet got a 'A'. I would not recommend that program to anybody unless you are in-need of a DETC MSIT and there are no other good options
