  1. Interesting (and sad) story in today's NY Times about a gifted child who was enrolled in an online high school at age 5 and started taking courses at U. Rochester at age 6:

    A Boy Genius? Mother Admits Faking Tests.

    Many of his achievements were faked by his mother (e.g. SAT scores were from a neighbour, with the name substituted). The U. Rochester professors said that most of their interactions with him were over the internet, so the extent to which his work there was his own is in question.
