    I was wondering if there are any current students in the program who can give some feedback? How do you like the program, structure, content, professors, etc. Have you been to an immersion weekend; how was it?

    I applied and was accepted to the program but have not enrolled. So far I have been very impressed with the school's responsiveness/service when I have contacted them.

    I am scheduled to start Univ of La Verne's DPA program but having second thoughts. I originally chose La Verne because it was close to home and required regular campus visits. However, it is not a PhD and it is much more expensive than Tech's PhD. Additionally, I am already a seasoned, experienced public administrator and would like to broaden my credentials. Although, I have no plans to leave public service, a DPA would "cement me" into the public administration world. Frankly, I have even questioned the ROI on a PhD since I plan to remain in public sector employment. However, my pursuit of a doctorate is not just about money but a quest for knowledge.

    Enough rambling.....once again I turn to the sage advice of the many members of this board.

    Thank you in advance for your time!

    Just a few thoughts on INTech

    Hello! I wanted to offer a few thoughts regarding INTech's Ph.D. in Global Leadership. I began with the initial class and will only have three classes left at the end of F1. I looked into other programs, including one with a cohort system. I chose INTech because I didn't need to attend classes on campus and could interact with individuals outside of a cohort group. Like most programs, you will favor certain professors or appreciate some teaching styles, but the Director is committed to removing obstacles that might hinder progress through the program. The program is as beneficial as you make it! I've completed two pilot studies toward my dissertation which I credit to the cooperation of the director and the faculty. Good luck making your choice. I worked with a DPA in the aerospace industry. I think a DPA could be useful with any business sector that contracts with government agencies.

    Hello current student at Indiana Tech. I'm looking to applying to Indiana Tech (IT) PhD in Global Leadership/Org. Mgt. Some of you may have considered other programs before enrolling at IT. How is it going with you so far at IT? Can you look at Bellevue University and tell me what you think of the program? It's suppose to be ranked #1 by US News & World Report in Online Instruction at the undergraduate level. Its reputation vs. Bellevue's, etc

    Any insight here? Is the school considered lower tiered? Would a PHD in Global Leadership look silly on a corporate resume? Does this PHD check all the boxes required to teach at the community college or university level?

    Indiana Tech is a solid, RA school that's been around for over 80 years, mostly known for engineering. Not withstanding the recent spectacular failure of their law school, it's got a decent reputation.

    I personally don't quite "get" the concept of a Leadership Ph.D. but I don't think it would look silly at all, especially when it's from an RA school, and it certainly qualifies you to teach at the college/university level.

    Not necessary IMO, but not silly either.

    So long at you have at least 18 semester-hours in a particular discipline. But it wouldn't be as good for that as a doctorate in something more specific.

    Any other online/distance PHD programs (business, management, etc.) I should consider that might be more specific (less generic)?

    Northcentral University has Ph.D. in Business and D.B.A. programs with several different concentrations, some of which really have nothing to do with Business, but here you go;
