Hello, I'm somewhat new here--I've actually been lurking (and unregistered) for a few years but I've decided to take the plunge and go back to school so I need some help. I'm a housewife, with no plans to pursue a graduate degree. I just want to finish what I started so long ago, as quickly and inexpensively as possible. I'm not sure which of the Big 3 would be my best option, so any advice on that subject will be much appreciated. Also--I don't care what the degree is 'in' as long as it's a BA or BS! I've complied a list of the credits I've already earned at other B&M schools. Anyone care to give me any suggestions about what I'm missing and what tests I should consider taking? All classes are 3 hours, and there are 4 classes with a D grade, I've indicated which ones they are. Thank you for any advice you can give me. I'm not a Big 3 guru so I'll leave that to another forum member. A program that I've been a big fan of for a long time is Marshall's RBA program. Tuition is affordable and residency is only 24 hours. RBA - Requirements Cost of Attendance
Hi Stitching Belle, welcome to Degree Info! Here's some new member info about your posts not showing up right away: http://www.degreeinfo.com/general-distance-learning-discussions/35100-new-users-ask-where-did-my-posts-go.html How long ago were these credits earned? Many schools have a time limit on how old transfer credits can be. Also, many schools will not take many a large amount in transfer. I has always been my understanding that Excelsior College is the most liberal with transfer credits. I can't speak from personal experience here, but I have heard that for quite awhile. You should contact them and have them evaluate your transcripts.
EC might be your best option. Apart from a requirement to earn 4 semester units through EC you can earn credits from any RA school in the USA and thransfer them to EC. Plus you can earn credit by taking and passing CLEP and DSST exams (the latter offers some upper division credits). The BS in Liberal Studies allows you to include up to 50 credits in professional studies (engineering/technology, business, education, criminal justice, etc). If EC accepts the 105 units you listed another 15 units are all you need subject of course to meeting degree requirements. The LS catalog is available on line and is easy to understand. You can do it.
