That's Ohio University, not Ohio State.

    Straighterline is another option.

A lot of people don't realize that scuba certifications with one of the big agencies (PADI, NAUI, etc) are ACE accredited.

I always forget about this one.

MC - Have you taken advantage of these exams? You could probably knock out the Spanish and French exams. Plus, you can take the exam anywhere in the US (w/ an approved proctor) for an extra $20 (cheaper than traveling to NY).

If you are a veteran, you have to submit SMART (Marines) AARTS (Army) transcripts and whatever the AF / Navy/ Coasty calls there military training for college credit transcript. After 10 years between USMC / Army National Guard that earned me 40+ credits toward my undergraduate degree for MOS training schools, advanced schools, recruiter school, etc.

Air Force personnel typically don't have to mess around with this. For example, virtually all training done on the enlisted side gets put on a Community College of the Air Force (regionally accredited through SACS) transcript for the purpose of fulfilling CCAF associate's degree requirements.

It isn't uncommon for Airmen to come out of their initial tech school with 30-50 credits depending on their career field.

Let's not forget that the American Council on Education's College Credit Recommendation Service provides recommended credits for many thousands of corporate, military, government, and individual learning experiences. Their complete guide is free, online, at
ACE CREDIT | The National Guide to College Credit for Workforce Training

Of course no school is required to accept their recommendations, but a great many do. (And wouldn't it be great to have a directory of which schools accept which recommendations, but with, say, 5,000 recommendations and 3,000 schools, that's a mere 15 million pieces of data.
