In response to my e-mail seeking information concerning the Regent DL LL.M. in International Taxation, I was advised that the program has been discontinued.

A "teach out" is available for existing students.

    No explanation was given.

Hmmm. Were there eyewitness accounts of the ABA Steamroller in the vicinity?

It WAS obscenely expensive...they probably didn't attract the students...besides, how many international tax lawyers does the world NEED?

I admit I wondered how it was possible to inject "Judeo-Christian" values into a multi-national corporate tax practice. I don't remember seeing the words "overseas tax shelter" anywhere in the Bible. Or "Caymen Islands", either, for that matter.

Didn't Jesus hang out with publicans? Publicans were tax collectors and indirect representatives of Rome. The Jews hated them, but Jesus made friends with them, offering them salvation if they repented. (I guess that repentance of the sin of tax collecting transformed them into re-publicans.)
