If I had 120 credits on my transcipt from another school and wanted to apply for a bachelor of arts in liberal studies and excelsior would accept them towards a degree. I would still have to according to excelsior college website have 12 excelsior college credits to graduate with the bachelor of arts. So does that mean that even with enough credits for the degree I would still need 12 credits from excelsior college and at $355 per credit, we are looking over $3,000 for a bachelor of arts degree at least just for the 12 excelsior credits. Are there any universities with that have cheaper per credit cost than Excelsior?

Have you looked at Charter Oak and/or Thomas Edison State College?

This looks a lot like another post that was left on this forum a week or so ago but without the life experience part - however let's assume it's not.

That is if the credits came from an accredited school (national or regional), and two they fit into one their degree programs. The Big Three are fairly well priced for what they offer, not many schools take close to 100% credit in transfer like they do. That is a very cool thing for adult learners!

However, your best bet is to call them directly, word from the horses mouth is better than second hand info. Many folks here have graduated from this school so you should get some great input but for my money I would contact them personally, you may be pleasantly surprised.

    Peace

First they are evaluated by a independent agency and then Excelsior usually gives you that credit as long as it fits with their requirements. I had around 50 units in engineering and math from the UK accepted into my BS at Excelsior.

As far as your first question you only have to take 3 or 4 semester units through Excelsior. All the rest can be transferred in. Excelsior also provides credit for CLEP and DSST exams (the latter having some upper division credit).
