If I'm a non-degree seeking student, taking 3 to 9 undergraduate credits per semester (depends on the semester), from multiple schools (1 course from each school), and I've already finished my BA, can I still get in-school loan deferment on my Federal Subsidized student loans?

I think you have to be a degree-seeking student in order to have your student loans deferred. But ask the Department of Education.

Nope. From the way I understand it you have to be degree seeking at an institution taking at least a 1/2 time load (most often 6credits). Also another thing to consider is that loans only come with one 6 (or9) month grace period. So for example say you got your bachelors degree and were out of school for 6 months before returning back to college for a graduate degree. Well while you are in school at least part time you can defer payment on your Bachelors student loans however once you graduate you will have to being making payments on your Bachelors student loan immediately because you have already used up your 6month grade period. Found this out the hard way as I just went through it!
