I am getting ready to take the plunge into grad school - just applied to Amberton. I am looking at the Professional Development or Human Relations/Business Masters - depending on what transfer credits they accept.

Any advice on what classes to take first? I have been out of school quite a while, so I will be a little rusty (to say the least). I was considering taking one of the two required classes, the Research Methods or the Ethics class - but don't want to overwhelm myself the first semester back.

Would love to hear from any Amberton folks out there on what their experiences have been like!

I started out at Amberton. The research methods course is pretty writing intensive, obviously, and the work adds up very quickly. When I took the ethics course it did not seem too bad even though I would probably not take them at the same time, unless you don't have a full time job.

The instructors are pretty hands off, at least mine was for the Research course. The Ethics professor was more involved often our discussion far exceeded the minimum postings that you often see in online schools.

Customer service is actually not that bad. When I went 2005/2006 it was easier to register by fax. Anyway it's an interesting degree with a good enough variety of classes to keep it interesting. Cheap to, although they have raised tuition since I attended. Still a good deal and I had a good experience there.

    Good luck.
