i can not believe i did it. After years of just looking and posting a few comments i did it i enrolled myself in an online degree Now I am getting nervous But hey I can not back out now since I have been challenged by the upcoming birth of my new baby. Can not say to him or her that they have to educate themselves if I never took action. So here it is: General MBA from Aspen University at the right price. DETC is accepted in the Netherlands as equal to local accreditation in Netherlands. Now only the time and support from my family and we are on the road to a master degree End of august is the planned start date
You will do fine. Best wishes with it. I hope you keep the board up to date with your progress and then let us know when you complete it. Advice is to just keep working a course at a time until you get to the end of it. If you look too far forward you can get stressed. Instead, one foot at a time AND enjoy the new information you learn.
I can understand the nervousness but I'm betting that once you're rolling you'll discover it's all managable. Others may disagree but I'd recommend that you start by taking just one course. There will be an adjustment you'll have to make regarding time management, etc. and if you can focus on just one course you're more likely to have great success at the start. With that confidence and the new knowledge of how much time is actually required you can then make decisions as to whether two courses at a time are managable. Best of luck.
Thank you all very much for the support. Now only advice is needed on getting the books. Anybody has an idea where i can cheap books? I want to order them form a retailer that will accept bank transfers and us dollars. I have done some search on this site and found abner books, any ideas?
I think you mean Abe books . I ordered my books for Aspen from abe books. If you buy the international Edition (IE) books, they are MUCH cheaper. Just make sure the IE bookseller states that the book is "the exact same as the US edition". Once in a while it was a little cheaper to buy used books from half.com, but very rarely. I would also take Kizmet's advice and take one course to start with and get a feel for what the school expects, formats, etc. Working full time, I found I could only handle one course at a time. Have fun!!!!!!! Abner
Congrats on enrolling! I use Half.com and Amazon for my used textbooks. I have also had success selling back all my undergrad books on Half.com for at least half if not more than I paid but not sure about grad level books yet!
