    Hi,

Can I get a little assistance please? I have recently moved to the US with my BA Communication Science from UNISA in tow only to realize that they do not offer honours degrees here. This put me in a bit of a pickle because I am not sure if I can go straight into a Master's ( after I ace my GRE of course  ) or if there are some other courses I can take to bridge?

any answers will be greatly appreciated

It's an interesting question because on the one hand you do in fact have a Bachelors degree but on the other hand it is a three year degree that may not be seen as being equivalent. You should consider going through a degree equivalency process or simply apply to a Masters program and cross your fingers. In the worst case scenario the answer will be "no." Even that's not too bad because you could still get your UNISA Honors degree from wherever you are living now.

Schools sometimes give applicants like you the option to do an extra year of undergraduate coursework with that institution as a way to fulfill the four year requirement. But I'm with Kizmet -- you may as well apply and let them tell you no before you assume you must do a fourth year.
