I could be done by the end of this year with my BS but I can't seem to get to work on classes. All the fun stuff is out of the way and now I'm left with all the hard courses. Anyone else end up so close to being done only to lack the motivation to bust your butt to knock out the last few classes?

Set up small blocks of time throughout the day and committ to knocking out a school task at each sitting.

I did my MA three courses at a time, thinking I'd knock it out in four term -- just sixteen months. Everything was fine for about thirteen months. Then I hit the burnout wall, and had to withdraw from two courses and retake them later.

    So, yeah man, I'm sympathetic.

I should be done this summer sans roadblocks, but I have been stumbling a bit recently. I'm studying for the Gerontology ECE. The content itself is rather uninteresting to me, but I'm really having trouble with its content guide. Rather than giving specific topics to research, it lists some concepts that have somewhat to do with something and says that the information for each paricular topic MAY be found in any of half of the chapters of the book. Hrm... its taking me forever just to find the one sentence between the two text books which barely even has anything to do with some of the topics listed. This is the second exam in a row that i just want to be OVER!!!!!!

My friend who spent 3 years in the army airborne infantry prior to college used to tell me to realize that school is so much better than walking through the woods for 13 days without a shower with fire ants biting you and chiggers burrowing into your skin. He also said he had to sleep on the muddy ground while it rained on you with nothing but a small vinyl blanket to cover you. This was something they did every couple of months and totally sucked. I try to remember that when I find studying distasteful :)

I know the feeling. I'm on pace to finish in December and can't wait. My plan is to take some web design and internet marketing classes when I'm finish but I need to focus on my current business and religion classes. I'm getting my work done, just ready to move on to other things.

That's what being an infantryman is all about. Sigh. I miss those days.
    Now I think in 1s and 0s.

At the end of my BA I was over the courses I was taking.....But I just bucked down and got it done as fast as I could! Just keep thinking about the light at the end of the tunnel. It was enough to keep me going :) Oh and if your going for your Masters make sure to take a hard class with something easy! I always took a class I thought I would not enjoy with a class I thought I would. It worked out well for me :)

Looking back I wish I would have taken the hard ones up front and the fun ones at the end. I'm just going to buckel down and get it done.....as vain as this sounds I just can't wait to order me a big ass gold ring!

I know I still owe you a phone call...

You can do it! There is nothing better than finishing!!! Do whatever you can. Live with getting a B instead of an A, stay up late, drink Red Bull, get up early, buy Dragon and talk the final work through, but by all that is holy finish!
