Does anyone here on this discussion board know of any colleges that offer the M.A. in Philosophy through distance learning?
I am aware of a few: University of Wales, Trinity Saint David - Many programs Postgraduate Courses, Courses; University of Wales Trinity Saint David (Note that if you live outside the UK these will be quite expensive) Holy Apostles College & Seminary - MA in Philosophy (Regionally accredited) Program Overview Southern Evangelical Seminary - MA in Philosophy (TRACS accredited) http://www.ses.edu/index_htm_files/MA%20Philosophy.pdf In addition to these, some British schools may allow you to do a research-based degree via distance, but you may need to contact them. Also some South African schools such as UNISA would be an option. See also this thread: http://www.degreeinfo.com/distance-learning-discussions/33173-ma-philosophy.html
Holy Apostles was very helpful to me when I was thinking of going that route, and they are reasonably priced , in my opinion.
Of course, there's always UNISA http://www.unisa.ac.za/contents/faculties/humanities/docs/GuideM&D.pdf
Harrison-Middleton offers an MA in Philosophy (DETC accredited) based on the Great Books of the Western World. Madurai-Kamaraj University offers an MA in Philosophy and Religion. The University of Sofia offers the MA and PhD in Philosophy by distance learning.
