Although I finished all of my coursework weeks ago, and I passed my comprehensive exams, I was waiting to declare victory with WNMU until my MA had officially been conferred. It's still in pending status, but I'm moving on. In my mind, I'm done. Three years of working on this degree, and I'm done. Whoohooo! They were nice enough to include my name in the list of graduates. I wish I could've attended the ceremony, but I think the cost of the trip would've been more than all the tuition I paid, haha! -Matt
CONGRATS!!!!!!!! On a helpful note since you are now a Vet from WNMU maybe you can help me with what to expect. I just got accepted to the MIS program in Criminal Justice and Political Science. Can you give some pointers Senior??????
Congratulations! It's always exciting to see a fellow DI'er reach their goal. Best of luck to you in the future!
The nice thing about the program is that the instructors create the courses. It's not a "cookie cutter" program. With that in mind, definitely take courses through Andrew Warren. He requires a lot of reading and quizzes, but it's worth it. Dr. Hernandez is also great. I only took one course with Dr. Fritz, but it's clear he put forth a lot of effort in putting it together, and had I known that, I would've taken more with him. Feel it out, and you'll hear from your classmates which classes are the good ones. I was not in the Criminal Justice track, but Warren does a bunch of those courses. I'm sure you'll enjoy it! Good luck, and if you have any specific questions, just shoot them over to me in a PM or something. -Matt
Congratulations Matt! I hope you have a relaxingweekend and summer. You might not know what to do with all your spare time now.:wink1:
When APU starts offering them! :bigok: Actually, I'm due for a break. I took so much time away from my family for this one, I just need to stay away from classes for a while... which is going to be hard because taking classes is like my crack cocaine! My principal keeps telling me I need to go for my doctorate, and I reallllllly like Walden's PhD in Educational Leadership, but I'd have to get an admin endorsement first, which is like five more classes. I just need a breather! -Matt
