I had thought CCWU had quit operating. I was rereading an old thread that pops up on the bottom of the forum suggesting similar threads. It was a thread where one of CCWU's execs (Litchenfield sp?) had a rather strange and defensive response to Dr. Bear's attempt to help them deal with something on degree.net about them using a Mailboxes etc in Wyoming. So, I decided then to search for CCWU and came across this for a center in London that claims it be an academic center of excellence for CCWU. Columbia Commonwealth University-London infomatioal website Web page says it was copyright 2010. Not much there so it seems to be a work in progress. Could they enroll students without running into problem with the UK gov't. Also, why would CCWU develop centers of excellence there is still work to be done to get CCWU up to par?
Are you sure you did not looking for Columbia Pacific University? I have never read of Columbia Commonwealth University, but still smell fishy to me. Also, Columbia State University is another mill.
CPU became CCWU. Sad story of the demise of CPU has been posted elsewhere. Depending on who you listen to CPU was either a legit unaccredited educational entity that got a raw deal from the CA gov't OR a legit unaccredited educational entity that went downhill by the time it ran into trouble OR a substandard school that finally got caught. Les Carr apparently tried to resurrect a new school but changing the name to CCWU and moving its HQ to Wyoming. I think at one point they claimed Native American tribal accreditation for CPU after it got into trouble with California. This London educational center of excellence is rather puzzling and clearly states it is tied to an entity in Wyoming.
Dr. Randell, It is a degree mill school, not to be confused with Columbia State Community College in Columbia, TN.:drillsergeant:
It was obvious that Randell1234 was messing with you . He has been here so long that all the old timers here know when he is joking. I think I still have the catalog of the CSU somewhere. I always like that picture of some nice looking church of something.
