I need direction in filling out the SAQA evaluation for foreign qualifications. Not exactly clear on how to fill it out and pay. Enrolling in PhD in theology from Auckland Park in South Africa. Help appreciated!

Should be mailing in my SAQA stuff Monday! Made the wire transfer today. Hopefully everything will arrive quickly and the processing will go smoothly. I opted to pay for the forwarding to Auckland Park to speed up the process. I also paid for the rapid processing fee. We shall see!

well, I waited until the passport arrived. Having everything notarized today and mailing tonight or tomorrow.
Official enrollment is Oct so, hopefully, everything will be verified and forwarded to Auckland Park before Oct.

I went through this process a few years ago when I was intending to enroll in a Master's in creative writing from the Univ. of Natal, on a DL basis. I had already been given the green light for this from Prof. Michael Green.

Then, after I paid for the SAQA evaluation and was ready to enroll at Natal, Prof. Green informed me that the admissions committee had decided not to accept me for DL study! I was upset at the time but later figured that maybe I just wasn't supposed to get a degree from them, for whatever reason.

Wow! Michael, did SAQA approve you? Did Natal and Prof Green just change their minds? Thank stinks. Have you pursued a degree elsewhere?

Just mailed my SAQA application. Hopefully it arrives safely within the next two weeks. I paid for the 10 day rapid processing and the forwarding option. Hopefully Auckland Park has my stuff within 24 days.

For future reference: The US Postal Service Priority Mail International will deliver a package from the US East Coast to South Africa in 6-7 days.

Yes, SAQA approved me, and so did Prof. Green. But I guess he should have checked with somebody else first because the university wouldn't allow it.

You're right; it stinks. But it probably worked in my favor because I'm planning to enroll in National University.

That wait is going to suck :( But in the end it will work out for you :)

Ok, I need help. I just received notice from SAQA that I must send certified copies of my degrees. I included the Enrolment Verification and Degree Completion Letters for all my studies. Is this simply, taking down my degrees, copying them, having them notarized then mailed to SAQA? I expected some frustration:)

That's exactly what it is. The term 'certified' is used in SA instead of notarized as in it is a certified true copy of the original.
