I was browsing the internet and came accross Anaheim university Never heard of this one and was not mentioned before on this site as far as I can tell They claim to be DETC accredited: Anaheim University - Online MBA, Online Green MBA, and Online TESOL programs - Accreditation They offer an online green mba ( no I am not kidding you) And some other programs Just looking for your opinion since my interest is the MA in TESOL The tuition seems to be on the high side at around 19000USD for the whole program excluding books
This claim is easily verified: CHEA Database of Institutions Accredited By Recognized U.S. Accrediting Organizations Why would we think you're kidding? Business programs that focus on sustainability are pretty common now. -=Steve=-
What happened with your signature line? I thought you were 40% into Capella's PhD in IT? Did you withdraw? Would've been cool to swap those credits.....i'd use them and continue (funny, I Know!).
Ok, regarding Anaheim, I think their tuition is high because they actually offer on-site programs somewhere in Japan; it won't be surprising to find out that it is well to do folks in Japan that actually attend the school. I realized sometime ago that majority of online NA schools with high tuition are usually targeted at other countries. California Miramar University is another one that targets Kenyans and other East African countries (the home country of the school's President), as well as Vietnamese students with their on-site center in Hanoi (in Vietnam). University of Atlanta also is targeted at some country; they have a huge student body from that country (can't remember which) as well as some type of on-site location (I'm sure some there is someone at the school or the owner that hails from there), that's why their tuition, alongside other online NA schools with similar model, is higher than online NA schools that target U.S based students, predominantly. The NA stuff is really a big deal in the U.S. I most of these countries; especially, in developing countries, NA is an acceptable accreditation. Goodluck with deciding...
I was also looking at their MA in TESOL. The price seems high but I must admit the faculty are some of top dogs in the TESOL industry.
What I've seen of them leads me to believe they charge higher tuition for a narrow demographic or "niche" market that will pay it.
Oh, more than 40% with transferred credits. However, I am going to Columbia University's Doctor of Engineering Science.
So is the withdrawal official? Good for you! PhD in IT would work better for me than PhD in Management or Business; however, I can't do residencies. By the way, are you aware of SMU's Doctor of Engineering program? I think I saw a program like that a while ago when I was looking for a Telecommunications program.
Yeah, but SMU's Doctor of Engineering in Software Engineering. Besides, I rather pay a little more with Ivy League school.
