    Dear all,
I want to ask about a person who have a long experience in Human Resources and has taken several courses in that field. Is there universities that will accept his experience and give him some credit for it?

No reputable school will give you credit for that type of experience because it's not quantifiable. One person can have a job for 5 years and learn a great deal; another person can have the same job and learn nothing.

However, if you can *show* that you have learned information equivalent to what would be taught in specific HR courses, you may be able to get college credit for that through portfolio assessment. Probably a good candidate for a school to check this out with would be Thomas Edison State College (www.tesc.edu).

    Good luck!

This is a very common question. Nixon gave an excellent answer. I just wanted to add a little warning. There are many scam artists running around that are more than willing to claim that they can give you the degree that you want based on nothing more than your past experience and a fee (of course). There are ways to earn credit for current experience from real colleges but it is earned per class after the university is satisfied that the material required to pass a course has been learned.
