I do think education cost is to high but it is highly desirable to earn that education .
One will have better chances to compete and possibly provide for his family as well.

Education is wonderful. School and diplomas however are a mixed bag.
I have seen many people take training classes for the computer certification MCSE at a cost of $2000 per week and come out of it knowing very little if anything. I believe the same goes for college education.
I think most learning occurs privately between the learner and the material and school is a facilitator. Sometimes you need the degree to prove that you were trained in concepts or a certification to prove that you actually know those concepts but the proof is when you can apply them to create customer value for a company.
Many people fail to be able to do that and for them, tuition may be a waste of money.
I just heard today that 75% of high school seniors don't know that Washington was America's first president. With taxpayers shelling out 20K per year for each student in public school you would think they would know that after $240K worth of education.
