Unlisted University of London programs?

The University of London International Programmes Web site has a lot of degrees listed, but I'm wondering if perhaps it is missing some? For example, the Web site lists the Applied Educational Leadership and Management program and the Educational and Social Research program, both offered through the Institute of Education, however, this Web site does not list the distance-based MA TESOL program from the same institution. Any idea what sets the TESOL program apart from these others? Is it possible that there are other low-priced distance education programs within the University of London system that simply didn't get listed here?

That's a good question. Have you asked them?

Heh, I think London International is interesting, but I've always taken their web site's word for it when it comes to what programs they offer. I'm not doubting there might be others that aren't listed, just that the thought never occurred to me.

Anyway, I've only been able to consider programs that either are South Africa inexpensive, or else allow American student aid. :)

Some of the courses are listed on the different college websites (ie Birkbeck) only.

There are some distance learning options that are not formally part of the international program - or at least there are two that I know of: Kings College has two masters - War in the Modern World and Air Power in the Modern World, both in the department of War Studies. I assume that they did not want to be a part of the international program and so elected to offer those independently. It does beg the question of whether there are other independent, distance learning options through a University of London college.

The history of the University of London is an interesting read

It appears that they are in a bit of an evolutionary period and that some of the constituent colleges are operating with more independence than in the past. This might account for some degree programs seeming to be offered by U of L colleges but not through U of L international.
