I wish you all the best. Let's hope that they accept your article. What is the topic?

Thanks! It's an article on the use of creative interventions in counseling. I am the co-author, but we each wrote/researched about half of it. The idea is based on some work that my supervisor did when she was in graduate school, but never followed up on. I'll update the board when it is accepted and published, if anyone is interested.

I had the same situation a few month back. My first article. Took almost 3 month for the feedback to arrive - just to be rejected. But it was a high profile journal and the feedback was priceless. Never had received such helpful and insightful criticism in all my academic endeavors before. So no matter how the outcome is going to be you will certainly learn a lot from the process. I would appreciate if a bit more discussion on the publishing aspect of academia would take place on degreeinfo.

Thanks everyone. I'm not too concerned about the article being rejected or accepted... since whatever happens, happens. The worst that can happen in my opinion is that it does not get accepted and we're given feedback. If so, we have a shopping list of other journals that we plan to send it to.

Anyway, I do agree that talk on degree info about publishing would be very helpful. I will keep the board posted if anything becomes of this submission. Thanks for the good luck wishes.

Well, as I mentioned in the off-topic forum, I just got my first article accepted. Honestly, it was unexpected. I only had about month turn around from submission to acceptance, though. I was pretty happy about that.

    Good luck on your submission.
