Hello, Does anyone know where I can obtain a PhD degree (research or publication based) specialising in Psycholinguistics through distance learning (not an online degree) from a reputable university in the US, UK, or Australia? From another thread, major56 posted the following universities: -University of Essex -University of Birmingham -Macquarie University -Swansea University -Aston University However, I was unable to find a supervisor with a research interest in Psycholinguistics. Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance for the help!:wink1:
University of Essex offers the following program: Department of Language and Linguistics at the University of Essex :: Distance-learning PhD by Supervised Research. This page lists a PhD in Psycholinguistics & Neurolinguistics as one of the options: Department of Language and Linguistics at the University of Essex :: Research Degrees: Information for Prospective Students Best of luck,
You are officially the coolest DegreeInfo member. Unfortunately, although I have scoped out distance learning linguistics programs worldwide, I am unaware of any program that exists which matches what you are looking for. It might exist somewhere out there, but it certainly isn't easy to find.
I know it's outside the bounds of the original poster's question but sometimes people are willing to bend a bit if they are having trouble finding what they want. My point is simply this: UNISA has both a Psychology Department and a Linguistics Department and I'd be surprised if, between them, you couldn't find adequate support for your dissertation.
