Has anyone been using a tablet PC to keep up with their DL while on the go? I'm planning on getting one but want to keep my expectations in check with the performance while using DL applications.

I use an iPad occasionally to work on my classes - it works fine. My only issue with Apple is that they do not support Flash, which is needed by many learning management systems to work correctly. There may be some sort of converter available, but I have yet to find one. If you need to do any lengthy word processing you should consider a full-size keyboard - they are making some cool portable ones these days that do not take a lot of space.

Or... save a bundle and get a netbook. I love mine, total cost was under $250 and that included delivery.

Yeah, but then you don't look as cool when you hang around Starbucks and talk about NeoImperialism.:afro:

I think nanoose was just agreeing with your satirical description of the stereotypical Apple junkie. :)
