    Hello!

I am graduating with my BS in Industrial Engineering and I am interested in starting my MS in Engineering Management, Project Management or Industrial Engineering within the next year.

Can anyone recommend an affordable/inexpensive online degree program/university with any of those majors? :happysad:

    Thank you in advance!

In my experience, credible engineering MS programs are not particularly affordable or inexpensive; they tend to run in the $20,000 to $35,000 range. Don't know about Industrial Engineering specifically.

Such programs are commonly marketed to working engineers, who get financial support from their employers to pursue the MS. So there is little incentive to lower the costs.

One less expensive online option is California National University, but this school lacks regional accreditation and ABET accreditation, and so it may not be universally accepted as a "real" engineering school.

Well, it depends on where you live. State residency does make different in tuition price tag. For example, Texan pays at Texas Tech University for about $8,000.00 for MS in Systems and Engineering Management.

Also checking out Mississippi State University's programs; GRE might requires for non-ABET undergraduate program.

Georgia Tech has several online Master's degree programs. I'm not sure what you consider affordable, but it is a top tier engineering program:

Those numbers seem suspiciously low. They are from a website dated early 2008.

The Texas Tech program requires 36 units, probably in the form of twelve 3-unit courses. The 2010-2011 tuition and fees for a 3-unit graduate-level online course at TTU are estimated at $1,033 for Texas residents and $1,963 for non-residents.

This implies a total cost of $12,396 for Texas residents and $23,556 for nonresidents, assuming that you take one course at a time and that there are no further increases.

My institution, Kettering University, has an MS in Engineering (with tracks in ME, EE and IE) and an MS in Engineering Management. Tuition runs $695 per credit hour, but textbooks are included. We are ACBSP and ABET accredited. Website is www.kettering.edu.
